The 8cm CD is the small version of the standard 12cm CD. The 8cm CD is a moulded CD which has a capacity of up to 192MB of data or 21 minutes and 50 seconds of audio. The mini CD may be offset or screen printed. The CDs can function as an alternative to a CD business card or in place of a 12cm CD when space or weight is of crucial importance. The CDs can easily be attached to brochures and mailshots or any other promotional material. Mini CDs should only be played in tray loading CD players. Most trays have a small recess which perfectly accomodates the CD. In some slot loading drives, a special adapter may be used to increase the area of the disc. The CD may be packaged in a variety of plain and printed products such as card wallets, digi-packs and jewel cases.

If you need additional capacity, the 8cm or mini DVD is a great option. It can hold up to 1.4GB of data and is exactly the same size as the mini CD. Most people associate the mini DVD with camcorders but this disc can still add alot of value to any promotional project.
